As promised…

I had to compress the file after all…check out my girlie doing her performance. She is the base on all the stunts. You can even catch a glimpse of me being a base on the right hand side when the two girls go up. I am so proud of them. They were awesome…

Balled into one Blog

I am back and will never desert you again…ok don’t quote me on that! It has been a BUSY couple of weeks here and if this week didn’t go back to normal, I might have lost my cool soon. Let’s see…Both big kiddies finished their seasons to include parties, I worked at the Army Family Action Plan (AFAP) conference, I published a 13 page Newsletter, I had a paper due in Creative Writing, I am planning our St Patty’s Day house party, working on a PowerPoint presentation on Europe for Geography, and the kids start testing this week. I know there is more I am forgetting, probably intentional. I was starting to feel a little stretched thin and so this week it is all about getting things back to normal. I did take some test shots on the new camera a while back and let me just say…it’s awesome!! My new toy is off the chain (I am not usually into electronic thingys, but I have found my very own lil treasure). CAUTION: this post’s gonna be picture heavy!!

Flower in the neighbor’s yard
Poquito looking curious as always
Kids pizza creation
My gorgeous girl

Aren’t they good for just the auto mode?…I am still tying to learn most of the fancy features.

Here’s a couple from the conference…lunchtime of course.

As I mentioned before, the kids’ seasons ended for basketball and cheerleading. They both finished 1st place Champions of course :o) Here are some pics from the parties…

Saige’s Party

She thought she was bringing back the robot…

JD’s Party

JD’s party was at this place called “US Land”. For a set price it is all you can eat and free play on all the games/services the have (fishing, bungee trampoline, batting cages, video games, etc). It was nice…I just thought it was funny how they decorated for the Americans to come to their place of business…check out the US flag motif:

George and I think it’s only fair that we have a date night squeezed in as well…We went with some friends to Salsa dance and it was interesting! I am in no way on the up and up when it comes to doing salsa…but I’m always up for a challenge. Here’s a few pics…P.S. George did not even TRY to dance!!

Fun Times!!

When the week was over (and the rain finally stopped), we decided to take advantage of the little sun that did come out Sunday, head over to the seawall, and dip our feet in the water. It was cold of course, but I love the smell of saltwater. Teage was napping and missed it all though. No worries, he will get his fill this summer for sure.

It was a busy, yet fun past couple weeks. I am all set to move at a steadier pace now and will be blogging more hopefully. I hope everyone is well and I will leave you with Saige’s final Cheerdown routine (the best part is during the third song…’Boom I got your boyfriend’…she has a major solo in it).

***OK CRAP…the video is taking forever to download. I will post it when it’s done!***

Love Ya…

Life is good…

Well, it’s the weekend…another long one I might add. It’s funny because the past 2 months seem to be filled with holiday weekends for either the guys or the kids. It has been nice even though certain things have trumped my gym plans a couple times. But no fear I am still trucking along and making up for missed time. I’ve lost inches for sure and am feeling strong in general. I like it!! There are some changes going on over here…a couple of our good friends are leaving within the next month or two. I really hate this part of being in the military life…saying goodbye to the people we have come to know as our second family. Farrah and Julie….I’m gonna miss them. But, we’ll always have each other’s backs!! These are some great girls…

As with every goodbye, there are new people that arrive to take their place (in the job or in the FRG). I always hope that there are one or two that are normal…it’s like playing roulette really. Usually, I am quick to see true colors easy. On that note, we do have a new military wifey that has come to Okinawa. She is sweet and down-to-earth…thank God!! We had a little get together at the BC’s house to officially greet them. Here they are…

I like her…and him, too. I look forward to getting to know her even more than we already have (that girl can sang some karaoke lol).

Here’s the chaos that ensued towards the end of the night…notice the weirdo guy in the back. Had to do it Stu!!

Good Peeps…

Teage has been quite the little photog lately. He has a knack for taking pics and actually knows how to work the camera. I see a scrapbook in his future. Look at this one he took of his dad…

That is hilarious!!!

Saige has been doing well…babysitting a lot (she enjoys having her own money to buy the things I won’t buy for her…which is pretty much like multiple itunes cards, junk food, etc). But she has also been saving a little from each job. She’s pretty good about wanting to keep her money instead of it burn a hole in her pocket. I just went this past Tues to see her collect her honor roll certificates for the past 2 quarters. Once again, my kids are freaking awesome!!!

I’m also posting some pics from her last game…via a neighbor’s camera. Look at my Saigie being a strong “base”. She is the strongest girl on the squad!!

And she has mad cartwheeling skills…

Plus, she is way too cute for her own good :o)

I’m really proud of her overall and she is growing up so fast. I remember when she was just my little ball of personality…

I guess she still is….

Hope all is well with everyone!! Love Ya!!!

"D…D…D…Defense!!"

Well my Saigie had her first game Friday night cheerleading and it was really great to see her having fun with it. The coach is kinda spazzy and I assist her when I can get a word in…so in light of that, they still did good. It’s cool to watch her cheer because she is nothing like I used to be back in the day. She is like the laid back cheerleader and she loves to be the base girl (the one on the bottom in stunts) so she can use her strength rather than be all dainty. I was the opposite. I like her mentality…She doesn’t care what people think and is always trying to help. She had a little trouble remembering the words to all the cheers (she wasn’t the only one though). And when it came to the halftime routine, she rocked it with her cartwheel and dance skills (those she got from her mama LOL). Check out my little cheerleader…

Although the team lost by three points that night…those girls cheered their little hearts out. Way to go missies!!!

I also went out to supper with some friends to celebrate my birthday. It was really nice of them to come together in spite of it being so close to the Holidays. When you come from a family of five children who all have birthdays in December…you learn to not get all geeked up about your birthday. But these guys really helped me realize that my day was important, too. Thank you for putting everything aside and being a friend to me especially when I needed it. I really appreciate it. Here are the girls and I…

Thanks for all the birthday wishes everybody!! Love Ya!!
